Thank you for considering this Susse Freres neoclassical style French ormolu green marble mantel clock & candelabras. The top of the clock features a neoclassical woman with a harp and scroll by her side. The front of the clock features 2 panels with neoclassical women and a putti. The clock has roman numerals on the dial. The candelabras display the same neoclassical woman motif. Clock in working condition and was recently serviced. Signed Susse Freres. 

In 1839 the Susse Freres firm was established by brothers Michel Victor Susse & Amedee Susse. They started a foundry in Paris, France. Susse Freres is famous for producing cast bronzes with patinas applied. They also produced the intricate parts for clocks and furniture, and collaborated with French sculptors for their designs. The company was run until the 1970's by other family members.
