This elegant 12-size timepiece is housed in a solid 14K gold case, hallmarked “14K 585” and additionally tested for gold purity. The ornate case features detailed floral and foliate engraving, radiating engine-turned decoration, a monogrammed shield, and a decorative fleur-de-lis motif. The white Elgin dial displays stylized gold-tone Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial. A beautiful example of early 20th-century American watchmaking combining an Elgin movement with an exceptionally decorative solid gold hunting case.
